Kehal D'brookwood community text messaging and Simcha Hall text line. Effective October 22, 2026.

The services

Kehal D'brookwood, a synagogue in Jackson, NJ, offers two text-messaging services:

• Community groups and announcements. Group texts and shul announcements for members of the Kehal D'brookwood community, operated by Mr Key NJ LLC on Kehal D'brookwood's behalf.
• Simcha Hall text line. Run by Kehal D'brookwood: a two-way line for questions about renting the shul's simcha hall for a bris, a Shabbos kiddush, or a full Shabbos.

How you join

Community groups: membership is by request only. You ask a group administrator in person, by phone, or through the shul office, agree to receive messages, and get a confirmation text when you're added.

Simcha Hall text line: you text 848-242-1233 first, or sign up on our hall page and check the consent box. We reply to your questions and send the follow-up messages needed for a booking you asked about. Hall replies are drafted by software and reviewed by a shul administrator; answers to simple general questions may be sent automatically. A booking is final only when a gabbai confirms it. A message saying a date looks open is not a confirmation.

We never send marketing messages.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies by group and by your questions. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out and getting help

• Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages from that number. You'll get one message confirming you've been unsubscribed.
• Reply #LEAVE to leave a community group.
• Reply START to resubscribe.
• Reply HELP or #HELP for help. For the hall line, you can also call or text the gabbai at 848-299-3325.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
